Intel Core i7-3610QM Technology Reviews

The latest Intel Core i7-3610QM with quad-core processor for laptop PC devices supports Hyper-Threading technology. This laptop hardware features the Ivy Bridge (Third Generation) which offers additional processing power. Each core compromises a base clock speed of 2.3 GHz but because of Turbo Boost technology it can overclock automatically up to 3.1 GHz when 4 cores are active, 3.2 GHz when 2 cores are active and 3.3 GHz when only 1 core is active.

Also, one good development in this Ivy Bridge processor is the reduction of die and enhancements on both GPU and CPU performance. The Ivy Bridge CPUs are created using 22 nanometer technology compared to Sandy Bridge’s 32 nanometer. This Ivy Bridge processor also offers integrated PCI Express 3.0 and DDR3 (L)-1600. The Intel Core i7-3610QM also supports all functions of the Ivy Bridge core like VT-x, AES or Trusted Execution excluding VT-d and vPro.

Moreover, the Intel Core i7-3610QM quad core processor has an integrated graphics controller called Intel HD Graphics 4000 that features 16 Execution Units (EUs) which are clocked at 650 MHz up to 1100 MHz with Turbo Boost, making it faster than the older Intel HD Graphics 3000.

Furthermore, the Intel Core i7-3610QM has a Thermal Design Power (TDP) of about 45 Watts including graphics card and memory controller. It also has Level 1 Cache of 256 KB, Level 2 Cache of 1024 KB, and Level 3 Cache of 6144 KB. The Intel Core i7-3610QM quad core processor has a PassMark Rating of 7488, this is higher compared to Intel Core i7-2670QM’s 6804. So far there are several laptops that are equipped with this Core i7-3610QM processor like Acer Aspire V3-4710G-73618G75M, HP Pavilion dv7-7025dx, Asus G75VW-BBK5, and Samsung NP700G7C-S01US.
